Free Voting vs Optional USDC Participation Explained
Understand ScorePlay's two modes: Free Mode (no money, global) and USDC Mode (optional, where permitted). Same leaderboard, same ScorePoints rules.
ScorePlay has two ways to participate: Free Mode (no money, available almost everywhere) and USDC Mode (optional, only where the law allows). Both use the same game and the same leaderboard.
Free Mode — the default
- Available: Worldwide, except in sanctioned countries.
- Cost: Free.
- How it works: You vote on match outcomes. Correct votes earn ScorePoints (SP). Your rank on the leaderboard is based only on SP.
- Sign-in: Google or wallet; wallet is not required for voting or ranking.
Free Mode is the core product. You can play, earn SP, and compete for the top ranks without ever touching USDC.
USDC Mode — optional and regional
- Available: Only in some countries, due to regulation. If you’re in a restricted region, USDC options are hidden.
- How it works: You can add USDC to your predictions. Correct outcomes still earn the same ScorePoints; USDC can amplify the rewards you receive. It does not change how much SP you get or where you sit on the leaderboard.
- Requires: Wallet connection and USDC, only where USDC Mode is offered.
So: USDC is an optional layer on top of the same competition. Knowledge and accuracy still drive SP and rankings.
Same leaderboard, same rules
Both modes feed into one leaderboard. Whether you only use Free Mode or also use USDC (where allowed), you’re ranked by ScorePoints. A free-only player with high accuracy can rank above a USDC user with lower accuracy.
Which mode should I use?
- Just want to compete and climb the leaderboard? Use Free Mode.
- In a region where USDC is available and you want to amplify rewards? You can add USDC on top of your votes. Your SP and rank are still driven by accuracy.
