How Referrals Work

Referral Code Generation

• Every user gets a unique referral code automatically on signup
• Format: REF-XXXXXXXXX (e.g., REF-A3B7C9D2E)
• Find your code on /profile

Code Submission

New users can enter a referral code:

• During signup (recommended)
• From their profile page (before making first vote)

Important: Each user can only use one referral code, and it must be submitted before their first vote.

Earning Mechanics

Activation Threshold

A referral becomes "activated" when the referred user participates with USDC (where permitted) and reaches a threshold of $5 or more in USDC participation on mainnet.

Earnings Calculation

Once activated, you earn:

• 0.1% (0.01x) of their total USDC participation volume as accrued rewards
• Rewards accumulate automatically
• Only USDC participation on mainnet counts

Example:

• Referred user participates with $100 total USDC → You earn $0.10
• Referred user participates with $1,000 total USDC → You earn $1.00
• Referred user participates with $10,000 total USDC → You earn $10.00

What Counts

✅ Counts toward referral volume:

• USDC participation on mainnet chains (Sophon, Avalanche)
• All participation amounts (win or lose)

❌ Does NOT count:

• Free voting
• Testnet participation
• Participation under $5 (before activation)

Note: Referred users can still participate fully through free voting and compete on leaderboards, but this does not generate referral rewards.

Redeeming Rewards

1. Go to /profile
2. View your referral stats:
   • Total referred users
   • Total volume generated
   • Accrued rewards available
   • Already redeemed amount
3. Enter amount to redeem
4. Confirm redemption to your wallet

Rewards are added to your wallet balance and can be used for USDC participation (where permitted) or withdrawn.
