How Leaderboards Work

Leaderboards rank players based on their ScorePoints (SP), which are earned from accurate predictions. Your position is determined by:

  • Accuracy - Correct votes earn SP
  • Consistency - Regular accurate voting builds SP over time
  • Knowledge - SP reflects your football knowledge, not capital

Important: The leaderboard reflects knowledge and accuracy, not wealth. A player with high accuracy and no USDC can rank higher than a player with low accuracy and large USDC.

Time periods & Score Champions

The leaderboard page has three primary tabs:

All-time

  • Cumulative ScorePoints and accuracy — hall of fame.

Qualification (weekly)

  • Open to everyone; competitive SP from events whose kickoff falls in the active competition week (Tuesday UTC → Tuesday UTC).
  • Top 25 (+ ties) qualify for Score Champions the following week.

Score Champions (weekly, gated)

  • Only qualified players for that week; SP rules match Qualification but the field is restricted.
  • Week 0 is Qualification-only; Champions starts from Week 1.
  • Top 5 receive prize shares; top 10 (+ ties) re-qualify for the next Champions week.

Viewing Leaderboards

Top Performers

  • Podium: Top 3 players displayed prominently
  • Table: Full rankings with positions
  • Your Position: Highlighted in the table

Filtering Options

Filter leaderboards by:

  • Season tab: All-time, Qualification, Score Champions
  • Chain: Global (per product configuration)

Prize Pools

Global Prize Pool

  • Accumulated rewards from all participants
  • Distributed to top performers
  • Grows with platform activity

Distribution

  • Top 10: Largest share of prizes
  • Top 100: Significant rewards
  • All participants: Eligibility for raffles

How It Works

  • Every day, active players are entered into a raffle
  • Winners selected randomly
  • Multiple winners per day

  • Make at least one vote

ScorePoints System

Earning ScorePoints

Voting (Offchain):

  • 1 SP per vote (earned immediately)
  • No capital required
  • Available to everyone
  • Accuracy still matters for winning rewards

USDC Positions:

  • 1 SP per $1 staked (earned when position is created)
  • 100 SP per $1 profit if you win (earned when you claim)
  • Example: Stake $10, win $15 profit → Earn 10 SP + 1500 SP = 1510 SP total

Bonus: Vote + USDC Position:

  • If you have both a vote AND a USDC position:
    • 1 SP from the vote (earned immediately)
    • 100 SP bonus for having both
    • (Profit + 100) SP if you win (instead of profit × 100)
  • Example: Vote + $0.38 stake, $0.71 profit → Earn 1 SP + 100 SP + 171 SP = 272 SP total

  • SP is earned from participation and accuracy, not just capital
  • USDC positions multiply rewards but the base earning mechanism is the same
  • Leaderboard rankings reflect knowledge, participation, and accuracy
  • A player with high accuracy and regular voting can rank highly without USDC
