How predictions work
Pick a scoreline, where to predict, reading the odds, and what each status means.
Every prediction on ScorePlay is about the score. You pick the scoreline you expect, which also sets the winner, and you earn the most for getting the exact score right.
Picking a scoreline
- On a match, choose the number of goals for each team on the score grid.
- Your scoreline also implies a winner or a draw, so one pick covers both "who wins" and "exact score."
- You can submit or change your prediction any time before kickoff. At kickoff it locks and your pick is final.
Where you predict
- Quick predictions on the Compete grid: see each match at a glance and pick fast. Filter by competition, date, or search.
- Full detail on a match page: head-to-head, standings, and AI match insights (team form, historical trends, and statistical context) to inform your pick.
Reading the odds
Each outcome shows how likely it is, either as a percentage or as a payout-style multiple. They are two views of the same thing: a less likely scoreline is worth more if you call it.
Prediction statuses
- Active: submitted, match not played yet.
- Won: your prediction was correct.
- Lost: your prediction missed.
- Pending: match finished, result settling.
- Refunded: the match could not settle (see Results and fairness).
Free, or with USDC
Predicting is free. Where the law allows, you can also enter the optional $5 USDC pool with your prediction. Either way the prediction works the same; the pool just adds money on top. See The USDC pool.
