ScorePoints (SP)
How you earn ScorePoints: take part, call the winner, nail the exact score.
ScorePoints (SP) are how ScorePlay measures skill. You earn them from your predictions, and your total SP sets your place on the leaderboard. SP reflect knowledge and accuracy, not how much money you put in.
How you earn SP
The ladder rewards precision. Calling the exact score is worth far more than just calling the winner:
| What you do | SP |
|---|---|
| Make a prediction (take part) | 250 |
| Call the winner correctly | 2,500 |
| Nail the exact score | 25,000 |
Exact score is worth 10x a correct winner, so sustained, accurate predicting beats the occasional lucky scoreline. Amounts can vary by match, and the exact values always show in-app on each prediction.
What counts for the weekly competition
- Only SP from your predictions on matches counts toward the weekly ladders (Score Qualification and Score Champions).
- SP is attributed to a competition week by the match's kickoff time, not by when you made the prediction. An early pick on a far-future match counts in the week that match is played.
- There is one ranking, by total SP. There is no separate ranking for money. A sharp free player can rank above someone who entered the pool but predicted worse.
When SP is credited
SP is credited automatically: some when you make a prediction, the rest when the match settles and your prediction is correct. There is nothing to claim.
