What is ScorePlay?

ScorePlay is a skill game built around predicting the exact score. Anyone can pick a winner; calling the scoreline is the real test. You earn ScorePoints from accuracy and climb the leaderboard. There are two ways to play: free play, available to everyone worldwide except sanctioned countries, and an optional $5 USDC pool on Base, available only where the law allows, where you compete against other players for a shared pool. Can I play without money?

Yes. Free play is the full game, available to everyone worldwide except sanctioned countries. You predict scorelines, earn ScorePoints, and compete on the leaderboard with no money or cryptocurrency required.

Do I need cryptocurrency or a wallet to start?

No. You can sign in with Google and play for free, with no wallet and no crypto. A wallet and USDC are only needed if you choose to enter the optional pool, where it is available.

Which blockchain does ScorePlay use?

Base. A network connection is only relevant if you enter the USDC pool; free play needs none.

Getting started

How do I start playing?

1. Log in with Google, or connect a wallet.
2. Visit Compete to see upcoming matches.
3. Pick the scoreline you expect for each match.
4. Earn ScorePoints from accuracy, with the most for the exact score.
5. Climb the leaderboard.

How do I connect my wallet?

Click "LOG IN" at the top right, choose your wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, and others), and approve the connection. You sign a message to authenticate. This is only needed for the USDC pool.

What if I lose access to my wallet?

Wallets cannot be recovered by ScorePlay, so keep your recovery phrase safe. This only matters if you use the USDC pool; free play needs no wallet.

Predicting and ScorePoints

How does a prediction work?

Pick the scoreline you expect on the grid; that also sets the winner. You can change your prediction any time before kickoff, and it locks at kickoff. Full detail in How predictions work.

How do I earn ScorePoints?

You earn some SP for making a prediction, more for calling the winner, and the most for the exact score. SP is credited automatically. See ScorePoints (SP) for the values.

Does using USDC change my ScorePoints?

No. The leaderboard is ranked by total SP, and money does not change your SP. A sharp free player can rank above someone who entered the pool but predicted worse.

Leaderboard, Qualification and Champions

What are Score Qualification and Score Champions?

On a normal week both run at once on the same SP from the same predictions. Score Qualification is the open ladder (everyone); Score Champions is the elite ladder (players who qualified). You qualify for Champions by finishing top 25 on Qualification or top 10 on Champions the week before. Full rules and the prize split are in Leaderboard, Qualification and Champions.

Why don't my early predictions on far-future matches count this week?

SP for the weekly ladders is attributed by the match's kickoff time, not when you predicted. An early pick counts in the week the match is played.

The USDC pool

How does the pool work?

A flat $5 USDC entry puts you in a shared pool for that competition. The top of the leaderboard splits it; you compete against other players, not the house. It runs on Base. See The USDC pool.

Is the pool required?

No. The pool is optional. You can play the full game for free.

What happens if a match is cancelled?

If a match cannot settle, USDC entries are returned to your wallet automatically. Free play has no entry, so there is nothing to refund. See Results and fairness.

Which score counts for settlement?

The 90-minute result. Extra time and penalties do not change the recorded score. The one exception is World Cup knockouts for "who wins" markets. Full detail in Results and fairness.

Availability

Where is ScorePlay available?

Free play is available worldwide except sanctioned countries. The USDC pool is limited to where the law allows. See the full list in Where we operate.

Can I use a VPN to access the pool?

No. Using a VPN to get around regional restrictions violates our Terms.

Account

How do I change my username, picture, or country?

On your Profile, use the edit controls next to each field. Full guide: How to edit your profile.

How do I delete my account?

Contact support. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Troubleshooting

The page won't load

Check your connection, clear your browser cache, try another browser, or disable extensions.

My wallet won't connect

Make sure the wallet extension is installed and unlocked, refresh the page, confirm you are on Base, then disconnect and reconnect. A wallet is only needed for the USDC pool.

My prediction isn't showing

Refresh the page, confirm you are logged in, and check that the prediction was submitted.
