The USDC pool
The optional $5 entry, the shared pool, how it pays out, and refunds.
Predicting is free. If you want to play for more, you can enter the optional USDC pool, where the law allows.
How it works
- A flat $5 USDC entry puts you in the shared pool for that competition.
- You make the same scoreline predictions as in free play; the pool just adds money.
- It runs on Base. Your entry, the pool, and settlement are onchain and verifiable.
You play against other players, not the house
Every entry goes into the same pool, and the top of the leaderboard splits it (see Leaderboard for the top-5 split). ScorePlay takes a fee and never holds a position against you. A bigger wallet does not buy a better rank: the leaderboard is by ScorePoints, and money does not change your SP.
Your money is at real risk
The $5 entry is the cost of playing, not an investment, and you can finish out of the money. Only enter with what you can afford to lose. See Responsible play.
Refunds
If a match cannot settle (cancelled, oracle failure, or a technical issue), your entry is returned to your wallet automatically. Free play has no entry, so there is nothing to refund. Full detail in Results and fairness.
Where it is available
The USDC pool is only available where the law allows and is hidden elsewhere. Free play is open worldwide except sanctioned countries. See Where we operate.
